Mother's Day, Field Trips, and Zane's Birthday

We started the month of May off with an amazing bike ride for Mother's Day.  We took the bikes up to Hume lake and followed a trail that was an old railroad grade that overlooked Kings Canyon National Park.  It was a beautiful trail with amazing views.

We also enjoyed a picnic and some swimming at Hume Lake.

A King snake visited our picnic(these are the good guys, they eat rattlesnakes)

We had two field trips in May.  One was touring an In and Out restaurant, it was neat to see the backside of the restaurant and how amazingly fresh all the food is.  The other was to the end of school year renaissance fair that our Charter school put on.

Zane was excited to make some french fries

On May 20th, we celebrated Zane's 10th birthday.  He was able to have a pool party at a friends house with yummy cupcakes and great presents.

We have also spent lots of time riding bikes in the evenings and getting ready for summer staff who arrive at the beginning of June.  See you again next month.
