We started the month of September off with a super secret trip to Disneyland. Well it was supposed to be a big surprise for Zane. The day before I told him that Nana and Auntie Dee wanted to take us on a surprise trip, he immediately said, "I know where we are going, Disneyland!!!" I asked him how he knew this, "Because it is their favorite place in the world!!!" So much for the big secret, but he was still super excited. On our way to Aneheim, we stopped for Field Day in Bakersfield with our charter school. Zane had a lot of fun doing relay races, long distance runs and he won the long jump(which sadly I didn't get any pictures of).
After we arrived at our hotel, we headed into Downtown Disney for dinner and a trip to the Lego store. Auntie Dee had a special surprise for Zane and I, we got to build our own Lego figures!
Our first full day was spent in Disneyland. Zane was so excited to ride all the rides!! Be ready for lots of photos.
Day three was extra special because the night before I went to the airport to pick up Aunt Cindy!! It was great to spend the day with her, Zane was super excited because she promised to spin really fast on the Tea Cups(something Mom wasn't up for).
The last day Zane wanted to be at the park when it opened and leave when it closed at 11pm. And we did it! His favorite ride of the whole week was the Matterhorn, which we rode 6 times, the last at 10:50 at night! It was such a special trip and I'm so thankful for my Mom and Auntie Dee that made it all happen and Casey who supported the whole trip and was grateful he didn't have to participate :)
The rest of the month was mostly quiet. Zane had a temporary pet Tarantula, who he named Pine. In the fall we see them all the time on the road going to the valley. So he caught one and kept it in a tank for a period of time and then let him go.
At the end of the month Zane started soccer. It is an eight week fall program. It's great because practice is right before the game each week. He is having a great time and is enjoying experiencing a team sport.
It was a month with lots of fun adventures, see you again in October.
