In March Zane and I got to do two fun field trips with the Charter School we belong to. The first one was to the Kingsburg Honey Farm. We got to look into some hives and see the bees working and learned how honey is harvested. Zane was super excited they had bee suits for the kids.
We got to spend a long weekend with Zac, Jen, Keanan and Kyla. First we got to watch Keanan and Kyla do a mountain bike race. It was fun to watch how fast the kids ride and see how their skills are improving.
On one of the days Zac went with us and we finally made it to the Golden Gate Bridge. Something Casey has wanted to do since we moved to California. Zane, Casey and Zac rode their bikes all the way across the bridge and back and I walked and took pictures.
On the way back from the bridge we stopped at Pulgas Water Temple. It's a monument to the engineering marvel that brought the Hetch Hetchy water more than 160 miles from the Sierras to the Bay.
We spent the rest of the weekend spending time with family, riding bikes and playing at parks.
We also got to take a tour of Zac's work, but sadly no pictures allowed. You can do a web search for Kodiak Robotics and learn about what he does.
And lastly you can see some more pictures from Zane's Dragon Ninja classes.
That wraps up our month of March.
