Hiking at Hartland and a Trip to Uncle Zac's

Our January has been a fairly quiet month.  We have done a few quiet hikes around Hartland this month.  Some on our own but most with friends.

In the middle of the month we headed over to Uncle Zac and Antie Jen's house for a long weekend.  We gave Keanan and Kyla experience gifts for Christmas.  So on Saturday Keanan and Casey headed off for a Mountain Bike ride, Kyla and I went shopping at the Mall, and Zane got to spend time with Uncle Zac and Auntie Jen at the trampoline park.  We also spent some time playing at fun parks and going to the San Jose Childrens Museum.

Zane got to ride a "Bird"(These are all over San Jose and if you have the app, it can activate the scooter and you ride it to your next destination and leave it there for the next rider)

We got about 6 more inches of snow in the middle of the month.  But it has almost all melted at this point.  It sure is beautiful when it first falls.

We had some very special guests staying next to our cabin this last week; the Ramos family who are missionaries in Thailand.   They are stateside for a few months and spent some time at Hartland.  Zane enjoyed playing with their two boys and we enjoyed getting to know their whole family and hearing about Thailand and the mission work they do there.  We even got to try a dried fish snack that they gave us, it was pretty different.
