We did a good hike with Grandpa on the Bodee Falls trail. We didn't make it to the falls but it was a beautiful trail with lots of mud for Zane to splash around in.
Logs that didn't always keep him out of the mud
One evening we headed up to the Eshom OHV park to check out some of the trails. One got a little muddy but Dad knew he could make it through. Not quite, so Casey had to pull him out.
Zane and Nana spent some time "painting" which turned into Zane doing some great hand prints.
There was some painting in the beginning....
One hand in
And two hands
Adding all the colors and having a great time
We did a day drive up into the National Forsest to check out some of the back roads. We even got to push through a snow drift.
Snow!!
Found a big log
Zane, Nana and Grandpa
At the end of their visit, I got a phone call from Canyonview camp in Oregon. They needed a CHA clinician last minute, due to a cancellation and wanted to know if I could be there in three days!! Thankfully our amazing community here at Hartland jumped in to help take care of Zane while I was gone and I found myself on a plane to OR. It was a great clinic and it was good to be involved with horses, my horse time has been a little sparse the past few years due to moving. But I have kept up all my certifications and look forward to doing more clinics in the future. I also got to spend a day with Auntie Dee and Uncle Paul in Portland at the end of the clinic.
Riding Belle
While I was gone, the summer staff arrived at Hartland and we are ready to jump into our first summer here at Hartland.
