Mountain biking, Father's Day, Jiu Jitsu and Summer Road trip part 1

As a family we got lots of mountain biking, in mostly exploring all around Hartland.  Casey and Zane rode all the way to the valley from home, 27 miles!!

Zane finished his year of Jiu Jitsu.  We are so proud of him sticking with it for the school year and earning his first strip on his belt.

For Father's Day we headed up into Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park for the day.  Casey has always wanted to explore Crystal Caves and it finally reopened in June after being closed for four years from the wild fires.  We also climbed to the top of Moro Rock.

Towards the end of June, Zane and I headed north on a road trip to Washington.  We stopped to see friends and family on the way.  Casey was able to fly up for the weekend as we celebrated my good friend Rowanne's wedding.

First stop was my Aunt Diane and Uncle Paul's house.  And my niece Gabby came over too.

Next we rode the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle with a stop at Pikes Place Martket.

Next we rode another ferry to Whidbey Island.  My best friend Cori grew up coming to the island to stay at her Grandparents house, which is now a vacation rental.  Zane loved staying at the "castle on the beach."  We spent a few days here kayaking, exploring the beach and the towns nearby.

Next we picked Casey up from the airport and headed to spend some time with our good friends, Michael and Sandy.

Then we headed down to Chehalis for Rowanne and Ryan's wedding.  It was so wonderful to share this day with them.

Our last stop before dropping Casey off at the airport and heading to Idaho was to see my cousin Issac and his family.

That wraps up the month of June.  Stay tuned for the second half of our summer road trip.
