We started August with Zane entering 4th grade. Zane's favorite subjects are History and Science and thankfully he still likes his teacher.
First day of fourth grade
Around the middle of the month Zane and Jess flew to Washington. We spent a few days with my friend Cori. Zane spent lots of time mowing and weed eating her yard. And we spent a day at a water park and ropes course.

Then we met up with Charm in Washington and headed to the coast. Once there we met up with Charm's motorcycle group from Iowa. There were 6 of them that joined us following the coast all the way to San Francisco. First stop-Olympic National Park.

Next was Point Reyes National Seashore. We had beautiful weather with no wind. We hiked down to the lighthouse, all 313 steps! Once down there we saw a bunch of whales.

We then headed back to Hartland with Grandma. That weekend Zane's cousin Connor was able to join us. We headed up to the Sequoias to hike the Big Stump Trail, see the General Grant tree and Buck Rock fire lookout.
