We started the month of December doing lots of fun holiday things all in the same day. First stop was Hillcrest Tree Farm in Reedley, CA. They have a train you can ride on through the Christmas Tree farm, which Zane really enjoyed.
Next stop was Hanford for ice skating. They had a rink with real ice! At first Zane was a bit unsure, it had been a few years since he had skated, but by the end of the session he was skating around on his own.
Over the last year, Zane has been getting a Raddish Box once a month. It comes with three recipes and a cooking utensil. He loves to cook and try new recipes. This one taught him how to tenderize meat. We got to borrow "Thor's Hammer" from Hartland's kitchen to get the job done.
For Christmas this year we drove to Colorado to spend the holidays with Casey's family. It was a bit of a wild drive over, lots of snow, ice and a detour because of road closures. The evening we arrived it was -18 degrees!! We had a great time with family and also got to visit some good friends from when we lived in Colorado.
On our way home from Colorado, we spent a day at Arches National Park. Zane had been when he was much younger, so this was his first time really experiencing all the arches and rock formations.
December was a wonderful month spent with family and friends. We pray that all of you experienced joy over the holiday season.
