Field Trip, Zane's Birthday and a trip to Pennsylvania

We started the month of May with our last field trip for the school year to Ford Farms.  They are a mobile petting zoo, but we got to tour the farm and learn all about the animals.

We even got to pet the Zebra

Sulcata Tortoise

Panning for gem stones

And a pony ride at the end

One of Hartland's year round interns brought over his extra tuba for Zane to play.  He had a blast and got some good sounds out of it.

During Homeschool Family Camp, Zane and I got to work on our Archery skills.  We also enjoyed listening to the Mr. J Band as music/speaker for the week.  Zane even got to play in some of the games.

Zane and Pops got to do the hula hoop game

Zane celebrated his 7th birthday with a party on the ball field playing soccer.  He had a great time playing with all his friends and staff.

At the end of May, I got to spend a week at South Mountain YMCA camp in Reinholds, PA for a CHA certification.  I got to work with an amazing certifier, Erin.  We certified five new riding instructors for CHA.  It was a beautiful area with so much old history.
