We started the month off by doing a hike to Pierce Pond and having a picnic with our friends the Anackers.

We had quite a few days of snow this month. Zane was excited to go sledding and hiking in the snow.
Zane loves going for "walks" in the snow, which translates to Mom pulling him in the sled

My birthday was a quiet affair, we explored a new trail at the Homer Ranch Preserve. We drive past it every time we head down the mountain to town so we decided to check it out. The trail crosses Dry Creek, which Zane got to play in at the end of the hike. We ended up just following cow trails through the hills and enjoyed the abundance of wild flowers in bloom. And if you know me well I always want to know what all the flowers and trees are, thankfully I have found a good book and are learning many new plants.

Best quote of the day: I told Zane this was a cow bone, his response "how in the world did this fall out?"

Starting in the end of February I started taking riding lessons again. I found a (somewhat) local stable(little over an hour away) to take lessons. I have had three lessons so far and am enjoying being back in the saddle.

Well our April is looking way different than planned but Zane and I are doing a Hike it Baby challenge for the month so we are looking forward to getting lots of hours outside and we will see how many miles we can hike. Praying everyone stays healthy.
